David with Shelly following the final performance in Peterborough - June 15, 2002

Hi guys,

 I can't even begin to think what I am going to write about Peterborough all I will say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!

My day started with me going to Debbie's (the drum) house for 11.00am and we set of for Peterborough. When we got to the guest house Debbie phoned Sharon and girls to let em know we had arrived. Debbie and I went to our rooms to put our luggage away and to freshen up a little and waited for Sharon and gang to join us. We didn't have to wait long and before we could say 'David Soul is sexy' the guest house was buzzing with excitement and chit chat. Sharon had bought 2 crystal glasses for David and had 'Deathtrap 2002' engraved on them (she gave them to him from all at the DSAC) and also a small gift for each of the other actors/actresses from the play.We decided to walk round Peterborough and look for someplace to eat (big mistake as most pubs had shut cos of the gangs after the football match). We did find a store with a restaurant but they didn't really have much food left as they closed at 5.30pm and by this time it was 4.00pm (don't ask) but we did manage to get some sandwiches which we shared. After that it was back to the guest house with a stop on the way for some light refreshments LOL (bottles of wine etc....). We had a couple of drinks and wrapped the presents while we waited for Liz , hubby and friend to arrive, then it was 7.00pm and time to get changed for the theatre. We sat in our seats at roughly 7.45pm (right close to the stage, front row) and curtain went back at 8.00pm for the play to start. As usual the play was awesome (no slap though Higgy, oh and David had a hole in his sock which we all noticed and offered to darn hahahahaha). After the play we decided to go round to the stage door and give out the gifts, we gave Susan Penhaligon and Gerard Kyd their gifts and was told David would not be coming out the stage door but going in the bar next to the theatre so guess what?.... Yep... we headed for the bar (we did manage to give Stewart Bevan and Becky Hindley their gifts).

So we were in the bar/restaurant and in walks David  aaahhhhhh!!!!! He looked gorgeous complete with Stetson (swoon....) so everyone was asking him to sign stuff, I waited patiently at the back with my David Soul annual, then he picked up his belongings and I thought 'oh well I'll get him to sign it another time' and I think he noticed me with my book and pen in hand along with the rest of us and said 'Come on over'. So we all went to the table where David sat. I asked him to sign my book which he did then I asked if I could have a pic with him (again LOL) he said 'Yeah sure thing sweetie sit down'... there was no chair... aaarrggghhhh!!!!!!!!! David patted his knee for me to sit on his knee (thud!!!!!) he opened his legs for me to sit on his knee and stupid Shelly fell of his knee in between his legs hahahahaah so he picked me up and put me on his knee and put his arm around me and squeezed really tight so I wouldn't fall again (aaawwwwwwww sweet) and so I had my pic taken on David's knee (Thanks Eve). After that I said 'thank you', he looked me right in the eyes so I went in for the killer kiss again straight on the lips (yyuummmmyyyy) all I heard was Debbie and Sharon scream hahahahahaha and Debbie said... I can't believe you Shelly how do you do it LOL... I told her to just go straight in for the kill (which she did later hahahahaha). I missed the bit when Sharon gave David his gift (crystal glasses with 'Deathtrap 2002 engraved) when he was stood at bar.. he loved em of course and said they were beautiful, which they were... OK so after I had my pic taken can't remember much after that as I was in a daze I think my hands were shaking, you  know the feeling, so if any of the others can fill me in I'd appreciate it.. I remember Sharon (z3) giving David his beer and then David knocking beer all over the table LOL... bar staff came running over to mop up the mess then David joined Sylvie and a few of her friends at a table and they chatted for a while, so we stood at the bar watching from afar. David then went and sat down and ate a meal. We must have stayed in the bar a good 2 maybe 3 hours and David was there the whole time (how cool is that). Then we decided (they wouldn't give us anymore beer they'd shut the bar LOL) to go back to our guest house which was only a stones throw away from the theatre (good choice Sharon) and have some light refreshments there ;) As we were leaving David got a hold of Eunice (DSAC) and was hugging her and kissing her head and tell us all how much he loved her, he said Eunice was his 'bitch' but a nice bitch.... he then gave each and everyone of us a hug and kiss/kisses and we all said goodbye (I seem to remember Sharon (Z3) saying to David 'Thanks for coming) and we told him how much we loved the play, then it was back to the guest house for some music.
