Open letter... to Mr David SOUL

A long time ago, I’d met you in a serie become famous.
A long time ago, I wrote you a song. A long time ago...
I often wondered what I would have say to you, if I’d have one day the chance to meet you. If I’d have the chance to speak to you this would not be just a handle of seconds. Only one sentence for only two words came to me as a obviousness...

To be what you are and for all you’d brought me without to know it... THANK YOU !

Thanks for these years of happiness you given to me. Of course, I’ve grown up with «Starsky and Hutch». But you also realy helped me to live, through your songs, through the films you made. You helped me to pass from childhood to adult’s age. You were the virtual friend that I dreamed to have beside me.

These songs are for you... and for your fans who have the same feeling as me...

Amour-Fiction (Virtual Love)

I wrote this song en 1983, I was 16 years old and I needed to explain what I felt for TV stars and how much this kind of virtual love was important to help me to live.

I sang it on Radio France and on stage many times.

A Man Like You

I wrote this song in 2003 for your sixty birthday but I realised, that it was more difficult to express what is my feeling twenty years after.

You form part of my life so much that it’s difficult to explain what you represent for me. Certainly for long years still, a “virtual” friend... so near and so far away...

For me formidable

This is a Charles Aznavour's song (writen by J. Plante and Ch. Aznavour in 1964) and I love it.
You said that Charles Aznavour is you mentor. I could say... you are mine.
